The two levels of luxury

MEA offers 2 levels of luxury to allow frequent flyers to benefit from extra comfort and additional privileges.

Qualifying Miles are the Miles you earn by flying with MEA or MEA code-share flights (ME flight number), within one calendar year (01 January - 31 December). The amount you earn corresponds to the distance traveled and the class of service you chose.

- Preferred seat selection* (up to 48 hours prior to departure):

Whether you prefer a window or aisle seat, just let us know. You will automatically get the seat if it is available when you reserve.

- Priority waiting list:

If you reserve within 72 hours of departure on a fully booked flight, we’ll do every thing we can to get you a seat; you have priority if someone cancels.

- Preferred meal selection* (up to 48 hours prior to departure):

You can choose your meal specification on the application form, whether vegetarian, diabetic, seafood, low in salt, or low fat, and we’ll make sure we automatically order it for you when you reserve.

*These services are available only when you reserve by calling our number in Beirut. If you reserve outside Lebanon, please indicate your preferences at time of each reservation.

 At the Airport:

- Cedar class check- in:

The last thing you need on a long journey is a long queue-which is why we are giving you access to faster check-in at our MEA Cedar Class counter, even if you’re flying Economy. Simply present your Prestige or Elite Card, and you can check in quickly and easily.

- Priority baggage handling:

As a Prestige or Elite member, you can be sure that your baggage will arrive quickly off the conveyor belt, whatever your destination. Just make sure you check in at the Cedar Class counter, and MEA will ensure your luggage is priority tagged.

- Extra baggage allowance:

Don’t worry if you’ve packed more than usual—Elite members can have an extra 50% free baggage allowance, and Prestige members an extra 25% (Valid on ME flight numbers only; these extra allowances must remain within normal weight and size regulations).

- Priority boarding:

As an Elite or Prestige member you can choose to board separately from the other passengers. Whether you prefer to board before or after the main flow of passengers, the choice is yours to ensure your boarding is as easy and convenient as possible, so long as you board within the standard allocated boarding time.

- Priority standby:

If ever you find yourself at the airport without a reservation, you will be given priority should seats become available at the last minute.

Our Cedar Lounge is a private, serene hideaway in the heart of Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport. Inside you will find an atmosphere that will help you relax, read the papers, focus on your work, or simply unwind with complimentary beverages and snacks.

Simply present your Elite or Prestige card at reception, as well as your same day MEA boarding pass or confirmed ticket (ME flight number), and these oases of calmness are all yours to enjoy.

Whether you have recently traveled or not, we will frequently send you mileage statements providing a summary of account transactions, on MEA and Cedar Miles partners.

Should you require any assistance at your final destination, we want you to feel at home when calling your MEA office there. Whether to send an urgent fax or find a hotel room, our local MEA staff will do their best to assist you.

Your own personalized luggage tags are included in your welcome kit, to further mark our recognition for your loyalty.

- Managing your account online:

You can log on to www.mea.com.lb to check and manage your account. Just enter your membership number and password to have access to your personal profile, including address details, preferences and account.

Exclusive Elite privileges:

- Upgrades to Cedar class (confirmed 4 days prior to departure):

Look inside your Elite kit for 4 upgrade vouchers valid for one-way upgrade to MEA’s Cedar Class (based on highest promotional Economy fare). These vouchers are valid on MEA point-to-point only, and not valid on interline tickets. See the vouchers for more details on how to book your upgrade. You may choose to give this upgrade to members of your family, so that even your loved ones can benefit from your Elite status.

- Guaranteed Seat in Economy on Any Flight, Any Time
  (up to 48 hours prior to departure):

Even on full MEA flights, we will guarantee Elite members a reservation in Economy Class (in the higher booking classes), with priority on the Cedar Class waiting list, provided you call us 48 hours prior to departure.

- Protected seat:

Your MEA seat will be protected at the check-in counter up to 1 hour prior to your MEA departure. Just make sure you quote your membership number when making your reservation or purchasing your ticket.

- Priority ticket issue at BRHIA sales office:

When you want to purchase last minute tickets, the sales desk at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport will treat your request with priority.

Threshold Miles:

Elite members get this extra reward for their loyalty, since they will earn 3,000 Bonus Miles for every 5 additional Cedar Class flights (one-ways) flown on MEA (ME flight number) after their qualification.
